Subconscious Room is a Ukrainian online platform for psychologists, psychotherapists and coaches who work with metaphorical associative cards (MAC) remotely. We combined video with the client and a shared workspace with card decks in one environment, so an online session feels as live and deep as a meeting at the table.

What metaphorical cards are

Metaphorical associative cards are a set of cards with images and scenes that serve as a projective tool. The client describes what they see on the card and unconsciously projects their own feelings, memories and inner conflicts onto the image. This helps bypass rational defences, gently approach difficult topics and look at a situation from a new angle.

How work is organised

  • Real-time video sessions — you see and hear the client, keeping a sense of live contact even at a distance.
  • A shared space with cards — open decks, draw, flip and zoom cards together with the client.
  • Your own decks — registered users can upload their own MAC sets and work with exactly those.
  • No installation — everything runs in the browser on a computer, tablet or smartphone; the client joins via a link.
  • Security — your decks and materials are stored in a protected environment.
